Syracuse University in South Korea: The 2012 College Fair held at the Yongsan Military base hosted by Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., ROK Alumnae Chapter

This past weekend, I traveled to Seoul for a chance to represent the Alma Mater that I love, SYRACUSE UNIVERSITY. The fair was held on the Yongsan Military base.  This fair is held every year and invites children of ALL ages to come and learn about schools back in the states. Usually the teachers and military people represent their schools and talk to anyone who inquires about their experience, cost, requirements and overall feeling about the school.

It was a great experience and it felt good to not only represent ‘Cuse but to talk to people all the way over in South Korea about the ‘cuse, which A LOT of the parents and many of the students already knew about the school.  I shared the table with Monico Doctor, class of ’87 and it was amazing to see how much the school had changed and grown between ’87 and ’06.

If you are planning on coming to South Korea to teach in the future, definitely try and find out how you can be a part of the college fair.

Since I didn’t have the pic I took at the ‘cuse table I decided to post the nicely photoshopped picture of the campus at night. GO CUSE! LOL

This is my friend Jazmyne representing San Diego State University. If you direction your attention to the right of your screen, you will see the orange balloons of the GREAT SYRACUSE UNIVERSITY TABLE.

Howard University came out to win best decorated table and had about 5-6 representatives present.
